Brad and Nate have plenty of postseason picks in today’s Fade Five, but Brad starts things off with a NFL future tied to Mac Jones and the Patriots. With only one NHL playoff game on the schedule tonight, Nate is on the Hurricanes along with a Lightning player prop. Brad expects big things from Kyrie Irving and LeBron James tonight but Nate is going to fade one of Brad’s picks. Then on the diamond, the red-hot Giants are facing the Angels and Brad is all over the Alex Wood strikeout total. Plus the guys throw in a stack of bonus picks at the end.
Fade the Noise with Brad Evans
With a full holiday weekend of action on the way, Brad and Nate get you ready with a jam-packed episode. Only one NHL game is on the schedule tonight so Nate starts things off with his picks for Game 7 between Las Vegas and Minnesota then looks ahead to Saturday’s Game 1 with Boston and New York. For NBA player props, Brad jumps on Luka Doncic, Trae Young and Evan Fournier. Over in the MLB, Brad is looking for double-digit strikeouts from Gerrit Cole against the Tigers. And, of course, stick around to the end for a flood of bonus picks to start the weekend.
With the postseason excitement rolling on, Brad and Nate are ready with a jam-packed Fade Five and several bonus picks to get your Thursday started. First on the ice, Nate expects Toronto to advance with ease to the second round but thinks Carolina and Nashville are headed for a Game 7. Dame Lillard has been on fire against the Nuggets and Brad sees no reason for him to cool off tonight in Game 3. The guys are on a player prop for LeBron James but not necessarily one you may have expected. Plus with Shohei Ohtani on the mound for the Angels, the guys don’t expect much from Oakland at the plate.
With Nate back for today’s episode, it’s possible that the ups and downs of the guys’ picks may have us cracking open the bottle early this week. For Hockey Hump Day, Nate has picks for tonight’s crucial slate with all three match-ups being potential series-ending games. In the NBA playoffs, Brad hopes he doesn’t jinx Trae Young in his game against the Knicks and thinks Utah can keep Ja Morant off the boards. For the MLB, Chris Paddack’s strikeout prop might seem a little high, but Brad believes he can do it against the Brewers.
With Nate out of the office wasting his morning with matters no one else cares about, Brad steps into the cockpit on a solo mission — to break out of last night’s funk. At a Mach 5 pace, he turbo boosts through wagers on Luke Doncic, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker and King James. Plus, the Big Noise gets loud over the ongoing Aaron Rodgers soap opera, the Rockies’ road futility and a pair of pitcher strikeout props.
